It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia

I felt like I was a little too cautious with my last spec, so I really wanted to push the boundaries of acceptable human behavior with this one. Perhaps I went too far into crazytown, but it is only my second spec, so I’m not gonna sweat it. Here it is! (right click to download).
Next I’m working on an episode of EASTBOUND AND DOWN, and I think it’s really getting me to the next level with my work. I think once I finish that one (and maybe one more) I’ll be ready to send my work to agents and showrunners.

Hey Mike,
Read your spec. It’s quite funny. I also did a spec of It’s Always Sunny over at my website. If you get a chance to look at it I would like to talk to you about how we both can improve our work. Cheers! S.G.
loved it - i’ve done a dog or two so I know how crazy the world lives!!! lol keep up the good job!
the overall idea is good but the dialogue needs a lot work. there’s way too many times i’m thinking those guys would not say those things. and too many cliches - “bros before hoes”, really? also, keep exposition through dialogue to a minimum. it sounds way forced.
I liked the script. I wish I could find more specs for the show. I wrote a couple myself. Check them out and let me know what you think!
“Big Trouble in Little Chinatown.”
When Dee and Dennis learn that their cousin, Cripple Kenny, is getting married and they might loose their inheritance, the Reynolds decide to take a trip. A coin toss leaves Mac in charge of holding down Paddy’s, as Frank, Dennis and Dee catch the Chinatown bus to New York.

“National Travesty”
When Mac and Charlie find a tunnel in the basement, the gang all form their own theories as to why it’s there. Frank is convinced that it’s a Shanghai tunnel leading to the Delaware River. Dennis and Dee search for a World War II Safe Haven. And Charlie believes it leads to the greatest treasure of all –The Declaration of Independence!
