It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia

I felt like I was a little too cautious with my last spec, so I really wanted to push the boundaries of acceptable human behavior with this one. Perhaps I went too far into crazytown, but it is only my second spec, so I’m not gonna sweat it. Here it is! (right click to download).
Next I’m working on an episode of EASTBOUND AND DOWN, and I think it’s really getting me to the next level with my work. I think once I finish that one (and maybe one more) I’ll be ready to send my work to agents and showrunners.

This is the first spec I ever wrote -back in the Spring of 2008.
I sent it to Warner Brothers to apply for their Comedy Writing Workshop in LA. I didn’t get in, but I did make it to the top 5% of applicants!
They had a meeting out here with the top 5%. It was basically a big pep talk -they said I’m not crazy to think I can do this. I learned a lot, but still have a lot of work to do…
